Tomorrow
Waits For No One is gearing up for production. If you live in
the Asheville, NC area (or are willing
to relocate), you can be a part of this unique amateur opportunity.
We’re still auditioning for this key role:
Martin Nguyen
Vietnamese-American; late-20s; Bank of San
Marcello teller; think John Cho
(few lines)
The following crew positions are still needed:
• bookkeeper/business manager
• costume
designers/wardrobe expert
• hair/makeup
artist
•
set decorator
•
web designer
If you have any of these skills or are interested
in auditioning, you live in or near Asheville, and you want to be a
part of this exciting endeavor, please send a message to
[talent
at san-marcello dot net].
Rehearsals and preproduction filming are
scheduled to begin in late Sept. Filming should take place
evenings and weekends in and around Asheville throughout Oct.
As this is not a professional production, all positions will be
volunteer. But, you won't go hungry. Food will be provided at all
shoots. We are seeking a nonprofit fiscal sponsor at this time. Any
monies earned as a result of this project will be reinvested into the
production of the next episode. If we make enough money, cast and crew
will receive a small salary.
Further updates about production will be posted to
this site.
By
the way, public access
television is under attack. Please make
a contribution to your local public access station. In
addition, the folks who want
to
destroy public access also want to ruin the internet. Support
Net Neutrality.
And, while I have your attention, the FCC is considering
giving
away unused television channels to the giant media corporations instead
of allowing our communities to use them. If Big Media gets
them,
we'll all continue paying more and more for this common resource.
If the people get them, we could all have universal wireless
internet--for free. Go to Free
the Airwaves to learn more.
